Our Situation Regarding 2021 Open Days

SPEAR would like to thank you all for your continued support throughout these very sad and difficult times.
Every contribution has been invaluable and truly appreciated. We are extremely grateful for all the Donations so kindly given which has helped us to meet the welfare needs of all our Animals in our care. Our funds have also been helped by the support we receive from the 100 Club Membership and Adopt an Animal Programme and from all those who have purchased our Home Produce and plants etc. A very big and heartfelt ‘Thank You’.
However, despite the gradual relaxation of Government restrictions, unfortunately we have to announce that currently we are unable to schedule any Open Days for 2021. Sadly, we have concluded that with the space constraints in the Yard and the necessity of cleaning and sanitizing all ‘touch points’ throughout the day, we cannot provide for the adequate social distancing and sanitizing measures to guarantee the safety of our Staff and Visitors. We are sure that you will understand that Cotswold House is Sue Pike’s home and that the Trustees and Fundraising Committee have an obligation to look after her personal safety and that of her immediate family.
We will however, do our best to keep you all informed of the progress and welfare of the Animals in our care.
We thank you again for all your help and understanding. Please keep safe.
Jack Waters & Sue Pike, Trustees, and SPEAR Fundraising Committee.
